Alessandro Piccichè
Alessandro Piccichè was born in Italy on April 12, 2013, into a family of musicians. He began his musical journey at the age of 4, under the guidance of his parents, accomplished pianists Domenico Piccichè and Nina Gallo, and later at the Palermo Conservatory under the guidance of Antonio Sottile. He participated as a soloist in piano masterclasses held by renowned virtuosos such as Giuseppe Andaloro, Vincenzo Balzani, Stephen Beus, Yuri Bogdanov, Michele Campanella, Roberto Cappello, Ilya Itin, Ariel Lanyi, Ziyu Liu, Leonid Margarius, Kristina Miller. Despite his youth, Alessandro has displayed his talent and versatility achieving remarkable success in over 60 national and international piano competitions, including prestigious wins at New York Classical Music Competition, Los Angeles Concert Star International Competition, American International Music Competition of Cleveland (USA), New Jersey Sinfonietta International Showcase Music Competition (USA-Germany), Asia InMusic International Competition (China), Gold International Classical Music Competition (Netherlands), International Artist Competition in Vienna, Salzburg International Music Competition (Austria), France Music Competition, Gabriel Fauré Music World Competition (France), London Virtuoso International Music Awards, Medici International Music Competition, Haydn Young Musician Competition (United Kingdom), Berlin Classical Music Competition (Germany), World’s Best Musicians Competition, BACH International Music Competition, Classical Music Stars International Competition, Mozart International Music Competition (Poland), International Northern Light Piano Festival (Sweden), Concurs Internacional de Piano in Felanitx (Spain), Fanny Mendelssohn International Competition (Belgium), Festival 4 Arts International Piano & Organ Competition (Romania), Colibri Arts and Music International Competition (Greece), Champion’s Keyboard and Piano Talents International Competition in Milan, Abbado Prize at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo and also, in Italy, Albenga, Cefalù, Ischia, Marina di Massa, Matera, San Donà di Piave, Riviera Etrusca, Valle dell’Etna, Taranto, Catania International Competitions, Lamporecchio, Piove di Sacco, Riccione, Palermo National Competitions, and many others. He gave his first concert at the age of 7 for the Rotary International Club. He has already performed for several Italian cultural and musical organizations and associations, including the Società dei Concerti in Milan, the Tempietto in Rome, the “Amici della Musica” in Palermo and Termini Imerese, the Onde Musicali International Festival on Lake Iseo, and the PianoFortissimo Festival on Lake Maggiore. At the age of 11, he made his debut with the orchestra at the Puccini Hall of the Milan Conservatory. He was awarded the Kiwanis International Club's Young Excellence Award. Top Winner at the 2023 Ibla Grand Prize International Competition (Italy-USA), he toured the United States (Virginia, Arkansas, Texas, and New York) between April and May 2024, culminating in his debut at New York University and Carnegie Hall. He returned to Carnegie Hall to perform in October 2024 as the winner of the Concert Star International Competition in New York. Between 2025 and 2026 he made his debut at the Leiszhalle in Hamburg (Germany), at the Sala Eutherpe in León (Spain), at the Curtis Theatre in Los Angeles (USA), at the Athens Concert Hall (Greece), at the Woman’s Club in Miami Beach (USA). Alessandro’s career is a testament not only to his exceptional talent, but also to his dedication to the constant pursuit of musical excellence.
