Alexander Cha
Alexander Cha is a rising senior at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University pursuing his Bachelor’s in Clarinet performance. Previously, Alexander attended the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Division for 5 years while studying with esteemed professors Larry Guy and Jo-Ann Sternberg. Currently, Alexander studies under the direction of Rudy Professor Eli Eban, the principal clarinetist of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. Alexander has been a Founders Scholar at Indiana University for three years and has attended prestigious summer music festival organizations like the Eastern Music Festival and National Music Festival. In addition, he also has experience working with the Conductor’s Orchestra at IU and in private tutoring for clarinet. Alexander is also an active soloist having participated in notable performances that include; grand prize winner of the National League of Performing Arts Concerto Competition, first prize winner of the National Artists Competition, and second prize winner of the International Grande Music Competition.
