Alicja Kojder started playing the piano at the age of five with her mother. When she was six, she was already winning local piano competitions in the area of Manchester. At the age of seven, she passed her exams to the prestigious Chetham's School of Music in Manchester and became the youngest student at the school. Currently she is there learning to play the piano under the direction of Helen Krizos. Alicja has been awarded top prizes in various piano competitions in the UK, Poland, Italy, Spain and United States. She was a laureate in the 23rd Chopin Festival in Masovia. In 2018 Alicja achieved 1st place in the Bösendorfer Piano Competition in Manchester, 1st place in the 11th International Festival of Young Pianists in Poland and 1st place in the International Krogulski Piano Competition in Poland and in n 2019, also 1st place in the Subcarpathian Chopin Piano Competition in Rzeszow Poland and in 2021 first place and 1st prize in Amigdala Piano Competition in Italy. She also achieved a prize in the final round of the Monegrarte International Piano Competition (Spain), being awarded a free week of masterclasses with five distinguished international pianists there. Alicja regularly performs in a piano duet and has played with a symphony orchestra in London.
