
Andreas Grimstad
Andreas Grimstad is 20 years old, and comes from Levanger, Norway. In the Autumn of 2020 he started his bachelor studies at The Norwegian Academy of Music with Professor Lars Anders Tomter.
He is an active chamber musician, and has played in several festivals in and around Norway. He has also won first prizes in national competitions with his duet and string quartet.
Andreas has played as a soloist with orchestra on several occasions, including with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and the Trondheim Soloists. After playing in the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra’s New Year’s Concert in January 2020, he also received Adresseavisen's Music Scholarship.
Andreas started playing as a three-year-old with his grandfather Erling Grimstad as his teacher. He then went on to have lessons in Trondheim with Sven Olav Lyngstad as his main teacher. He also received tuition from Bård Monsen and Ole Wuttudal before he started his studies at the academy.
