Arthur Scott (7) is a pianist, violinist, and composer. At MacPhail Center for Music he is studying with Irina Elkina, Lucinda Marvin, and Sarah Miller. In 2022 Arthur became the recipient of the most prestigious MacPhail scholarship awarded to pianists – Gary Sipes scholarship. Arthur won 1st place prizes from the International Great Composers Competition: Art of Strings (violin), Best of Kabalevsky (piano), and Best of Mozart (piano). He won the performance award from the Mary West Solo Competition (violin), and the Opus State Music Competition. Arthur placed 3rd in piano in the American Virtuoso International Music Competition and has an invitation to perform at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. He won 1st place prizes from the Glory International Piano Competition and the King’s Peak International Competition for both piano and violin. Arthur also won 1st place in the Junior Composers Competition. Arthur participates in Minnesota Youth Symphonies and House of Hope Choir School. In addition to music, Arthur loves reading, making movies, and classic muscle cars.
