Alexandru Beleca - Percussionist

Alexandru Beleca is a young percussionist who stands out through his energetic approach to the

marimba and percussion repertoire, delivering highly spectacular performances to his audience.

With consistent study and great attention to detail, Alexandru, at just 17 years old, masters an

exceptional technique that allows him access to a mature repertoire.

He began studying music at the age of 10 in the class of Professor Alexandru Sturzu, where he

continues his studies to this day. Over the years, he has won numerous awards, among the most

important being:

- Second Prize at the Italy PAS Competition 2023

- Third Prize at the 2023 National Olympiad of Instrumental Performance

- First Prize at the 2022, 2024, and 2025 National Olympiad of Instrumental Performance

- Performances at the National Olympiad Gala of Instrumental Performance in 2022 and 2025

- Grand Prize at the Vasile Sândean Ovadiuc Percussion Competition 2024

- First Prize and Finalist at the National Instrumental Performance Competition "Golden Lyre" in

2023 and 2024

Alexandru has also been awarded two scholarships granted by UNIMIR in 2022 and 2024.

This year, Alexandru gave his solo marimba recital and participated in the TV show "Romanii au

Talent" (Romania's Got Talent), reaching the semifinals.
