Benjamin Joo

Benjamin Joo is a senior boarder at The Peddie School, currently studying under Dr. Kookhee Hong. He has participated in multiple competitions, receiving the grand prize of the creative division during the 8th Annual Traditional & Arts Competition (2021), 1st place awards at the American Protégé Concerto Competition (2023), Golden Classical Musical Awards (2023), Southwestern Youth Music Festival (2022) and the MTAC Orange Country Branch Concerto Competition (2022). He has also been awarded 2nd place awards in the Barum Music International Competition (2021) and Satori Music Festival Competition (2022). Furthermore, Ben has completed Level 10 for the MTAC Certificate of Merit in Piano and attended the 2022 Concordia Summer Piano Music Camp, attending multiple piano programs led by distinguished faculty and guest artists. Finally, Benjamin performed a piano concerto with the Orange County Christian Youth Orchestra at their 10th Annual Concert.
