Blanche Inacio

Blanche Inacio is an accomplished double bassist whose musical career spans a wide array of performances with renowned orchestras in Europe and internationally. Born in France, she pursued her musical education at institutions such as the Conservatoire d’Orléans, the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, where she obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in performance.

From early on, Blanche's talent was evident, leading her to perform at quite a young age with orchestras like the Orléans Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Blanche has then established herself as a sought-after musician, performing with various prestigious orchestras and chamber groups across Europe. Her experience spans positions as a section leader, co-section leader, and tutti player with renowned orchestra like the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra and the Musikkollegium Winterthur. She has also collaborated with the Collegium Musicum Basel, the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, and the Berner Symphonieorchester, showcasing her ability to seamlessly adapt to different orchestral environments.

Her talents have led her to perform at major festivals, including the Pablo Casals Festival in Prades, where her performances were met with critical acclaim, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and the Chorégies d'Orange. Her musical range, from classical to contemporary pieces and from jazz to different kind of traditional music, is a testament to her technical mastery and artistic sensitivity.

Her education has been enriched by lessons and masterclasses with distinguished teachers such as Dorin Marc, Philipp Studenrauch, and Wolfgang Güttler, who have all played key roles in shaping her approach to the instrument. Through these experiences, Blanche has refined her technique and developed a profound musicality that shines through in her performances.

A dedicated chamber musician, Blanche is a member of the Ensemble Puzzle and the Yacàta Quintet, where she explores the more intimate aspects of the double bass repertoire. Her passion for collaboration in smaller ensembles complements her extensive orchestral experience, offering a well-rounded artistic profile.

Recently, she has been awarded two First Prizes for her solo performances at international competitions, Classical Music Stars competition and the 7th International String Competition. With upcoming engagements as a co-section leader and tutti player with the Musikkollegium Winterthur and other orchestras in the 2024-2025 season, Blanche Inacio continues to expand her career. Her dedication to her craft and her passion for sharing music with audiences leads her towards a bright and promising future in the classical music scene.
