Buket Filiz

Buket Filiz is a young Turkish soprano currently pursuing her undergraduate studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul State Conservatory, majoring in Opera within the Department of Performing Arts.

Her vocal journey began with foundational training under Mehmet Ali Portakal from 2019 to 2021, followed by further studies with esteemed voice teachers including Murat Duyan, Bezmi Hazal Ekşi, Terane Abbaszade, and currently Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tülay Uyar Hatip. Alongside her vocal studies, she received training in ear training, solfège, music theory at Mor Sanat Academy (Izmir), as well as dramaturgy and stage performance at Asuman Dabak Stage (Izmir).

Buket has actively participated in several national vocal competitions with remarkable success. In 2023, she reached the semi-finals of the 15th National Young Soloist Competition and was awarded the Suna Korad Special Prize in the 1st National Suna Korad Vocal Competition. In 2024, she continued her success by winning the Second Prize in the 2nd National Suna Korad Vocal Competition.

She has also enhanced her artistry through masterclasses with internationally renowned artists such as Francisco Araiza and Paul Wingfield.

With a passion for both the operatic and concert repertoires, Buket continues to develop her artistry and stage presence, aspiring to build an international career in opera.
