Carlos Aliro Heimlich

Carlos Aliro Heimlich was born on July 31, 2010, in Santiago de Chile. He comes from a family with German and Chilean roots. He began playing the violin at the age of four. Today, he is a student at the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Gymnasium for musically gifted students in Berlin. His teacher is Mrs. Zoya Nevgodovska, a lecturer at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin. In 2016, he won the 1st prize with a perfect score at the "Jugend musiziert" competition. In 2020, he achieved the third prize at the Violin Competition of the International Music School Berlin. Furthermore, he received the 2nd prize at the International Hedwig Prize Competition 2022, as well as the award for the best solo performance. Additionally, in 2022, he won the first prize in violin at the Märkische Musiktagen International Music Competition. He continued to win first prizes in 2022 and 2023 at the "Jugend musiziert" competition as a soloist and in the categories of string ensembles, mixed ensembles, as well as a first prize in the chamber music category, 35. Klassik-Wertung. In August 2023, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Hedwig Prize Competition 2023, along with the prize for the best participant from Germany and for the best interpretation of a piece from the German-Austrian cultural area. In October 2023, he won the first prize at the Dussmann Competition 2023. Also in October 2023, he achieved the 2nd prize in violin at the Märkische Musiktagen International Music Competition, despite being only 13 years old and competing in the category for participants over 15 years old. Additionally, he participated in the exchange project "Young Classic Dialog" in Berlin.
