Celine Wu

Celine Wu, an nine-year-old trumpet player from Auckland, New Zealand, began her musical journey at seven after switching from the flute. Her passion for the trumpet quickly led her to success, winning multiple categories at the Auckland Bands Association Solo Contest and the New Zealand National Brass Association Solo Contest in 2023. In October 2023, she became the first New Zealander to win the American Protege International Woodwind and Brass Competition, earning her an invitation to perform at Carnegie Hall in 2024. Celine plays with the North Shore Symphonic Youth Wind Band and the North Shore Youth Brass Band, aspiring to become a soloist.
