Changhan Jeon

Dr. Changhan Jeon is an accomplished conductor with a lifelong passion for music. He has worked as an arranger for numerous ensemble teams and as a jazz pianist for the Pops Orchestra and Jazz Big Band in South Korea. In the United States, he has served as a music director and conductor for several groups, including the La Luce Chamber Orchestra, Sanctification Presbyterian Church Choir, and Harmonia Ensemble. The Harmonia Ensemble is a unique orchestra that includes both students with and without autism at the Korean American Special Education Center. In addition, he is currently serving as an Associate Conductor of the LA Sinfonietta. He was also the music director of the Opera “YunDongJu” and in 2019, the Musical “Dosan”. Dr. Jeon earned a bachelor’s degree in music composition from Cheong-Ju University in South Korea and studied at World Mission University in the United States, where he received an MAM (Master of Arts in Music) and a DCM (Doctor of Church Music) in Choral and Orchestra Conducting under the guidance of Dr. Im Sang Yoon and Maestro Donald Neuen. Furthermore, he was a finalist in the 2018 Smoky Mountain International Conducting Competition in North Carolina. Additionally, he won second prize in the 2023 New York Classical Music Competition and the Gold Prize in the UK Elizabeth International Music Competition 2023 in the United Kingdom.
