About Chiyo Hagiwara    Chiyo Hagiwara, is a Japanese pianist, who is well known in Japan for introducing to the Japanese public the Transylvanian genius composer’s, Carl Filtsch’s works. Since 2020, she started her special project, by inventing a special, unique style of playing the bells, calling it Senzonshō. The magical sound of these bells is so exquisite, delicate and out of this world, so the best way to describe it is Ethereal. Chiyo Hagiwara is composing works for piano and creates music for Senzonshō as well by combining the bells with various other instruments. Concerning her compositions she is being advised and guided by the composer Csíky Boldizsár. She is performing at different shrines, temples and at special events. In 2021 Chiyo released her first CD playing on bells, called “Senzonshō” and “Suite Amanoiwato”. She won the online contest for composition “Okayama Cup” (2023).
