Chrysostomos Sakellaropoulos
Chrysostomos Sakellaropoulos was born in Volos (Greece) in 1999. At the age of 8 he started music theory and classical percussion lessons He graduated from the Music School of Volos in 2017. In 2015 he obtained the degree in music harmony and in 2018 he obtained the diploma of Classical Percussion with "Excellent". He graduated from the Department of Music Science and Art (TMET) of the University of Macedonia specializing in percussion. In 2021 he won the "1st prize" in the "4th Panhellenic Competition Orpheus Soloists 2021" in the percussion category. In 2022 he participated as a soloist and member of the orchestra in the 6th "Musa Hellenica" festival of Chios. In 2022-2023 he participated in the opera "La belle Helene of Offenbach" with the National Opera. In the same year he won the “Yamaha Music Europe Foundation YMEF” scholarship. Now he is studying jazz vibraphone at the Royal Conservatoire the Hague. He has participated in orchestras such as: Mediterranean Youth Orchestra (MYO 2018), ERT Symphony Orchestra, State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra (GYSO), Megaro Youth Symphony Orchestra (MOYSA), Cologne Youth Orchestra (JSO Koln), Thessaloniki City Music Orchestra, University of Macedonia Symphony Orchestra , Volos City Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Municipal Conservatory of Edessa. He has collaborated with Greek and foreign musicians in composing, producing and performing musical compositions.
