Cocoro Ogushi

Cocoro Ogushi is an 11-year-old pianist from Tokyo, Japan. She began studying piano at the age of four and currently attends Global Indian International School, Tokyo Campus (GIIS Tokyo), where she combines international academic studies with her passion for music.

Cocoro has already received recognition in several international and national piano competitions, including: – Encouragement Prize at the PTNA Piano Competition (Japan, 2019–2024, multiple years) – Silver Prize at the Inzai International Piano Competition (Japan, 2025) – 5th Prize at the Debussy International Piano Competition (Japan, 2025) – Second Prize at the London International Music Competition (UK, 2025) – Special Recognition Award for Performing Arts (Piano) at GIIS Tokyo (2024)

She was also selected to join the GIIS-Shekhar Ravjiani School of Music, where she receives personalized mentoring from renowned Indian composer and singer Shekhar Ravjiani, supported by state-of-the-art music facilities and holistic guidance.

In 2025, she attended a summer program in the UK and was highly commended for the European style of sound she developed there.
