Hey there! I'm Daniel, and I'm a 12-year-old musician who has learned a lot about the world through the last 88 keys. I started learning to play the piano when I was seven years old. The first time I touched the keys, I felt like music had let me speak a language had always wanted to. What began as daily weigh-ins quickly turned into an adventure full of learning and discipline. I learned to hear the little changes in sound that happen between notes, the breath goes into a word, and the story a single tune can tell. I played the piano every day until middle school, when it stopped being just something I did and became a part of who I was. I go to the New England Conservatory (NEC) Preparatory School today, and my teachers push me to not only play well but also think like a singer. Working with more difficult pieces has taught me that skill is what makes music sound good, but imagination is what makes it feel alive. I learned that performing isn't just about expressing yourself; it's also about listening, sharing space, and making something living with other people. The piano always shows me new things I can do, whether I'm working on a Chopin nocturne, looking into the structure of a Beethoven sonata, or finding a new modern piece. Music has changed the way I see the world—its feelings, its questions, and its beauty. I hope to meet other young artists who share my belief that every note is an opportunity for an adventure.
