Danielle Abou Nassar

Daniella comes from a Cypriot-Lebanese background and started studying the piano and cello from a young age. Now based in London, she has performed internationally as a soloist and as part of chamber music groups and orchestras, giving recitals in Cyprus, Greece, Italy and the United Kingdom in various concert halls such as the Charlton House, Huddersfield University Concert Hall, the Old Royal College Chapel and Wigmore Hall in London. Daniella is also is co-founder and principal cellist of the Trinity Laban Film and Videogame Orchestra and co-founder of the Asteri Piano Duet. Recently, she has attained the first prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition in London 2019 and the Stratford and East London concerto competition 2020 for her interpretation of Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Fourth piano Concerto. Apart from classical repertoire she also experienced in jazz, musical theatre, contemporary music as well as taking on new commissions from composers. Daniella also composes her own music and has a particular interest in composition for media, film and animation. She is currently in her final year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, undertaking her BMus (Hons) degree in Performance under the tutelage of pianist Yekaterina Lebedeva and cellist Richard Markson. Daniella is grateful to be a recipient of the Universitas Foundation Scholarship.
