Elara Wragg

Elara was born in London in 2010. At the age of 6, she began studying at the Rachmaninov Music Academy where she received her general musical training and was taught the piano by Elena Berezovsky. During this time, Elara gave regular public performances at venues such as the Royal Overseas League London. In October 2017 she was given a scholarship with the Open Music Foundation. In 2019 Elara was prize winners at the Richmond festival, Ealing festival and North London festival. In 2020 she was accepted to learn at the Purcell School for young musicians where she learned with Danielle Salomon. In 2023 Elara had her concerto debut, playing Mozart piano concerto no. 19 in f major with the Tchaikovsky Camerata Orchestra. She was then accepted to start learning at the Yehudi Menuhin School in September 2023 with Anahit Tchaouchian and has been there since. In 2023 Elara won first prize in her age group in the Ealing festival. In 2024 she played again with the Tchaikovsky Camerata Orchestra, this time playing Haydn piano concerto no. 11. Since joining the Yehudi Menuhin School she has had multiple masterclasses with prestigious musicians such as Andreas Frölich and Plamena Mangova, as well as solo and chamber music lessons with David Dolan, an acclaimed improvisationary coach and has given many public concerts in the Menuhin Hall. She was a finalist in the Anton Rubinstein Junior Piano Competition in Düsseldorf in July 2025. Elara achieved the First Prize in the International online Johannes Brahms Competition in July 2025. Elara also enjoys composition and choir at her school.
