Elías Henry-Picó
My name is Elías Henry-Picó, I'm 19 years old, and I'm a violinist. The violin is my passion, but also my identity: from a very young age, I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I grew up playing the violin, having fun with it, arguing with it, crying and laughing with it. I learned to play several instruments, but the connection I have with the violin is unique.
I was born and raised in Mallorca, although I am French-Spanish. I am currently studying in Madrid to perfect my musical training, develop, and progress as a musician. I have completed the second level of advanced performance studies at the Forum Musikae center in Madrid with Maestro Manuel Guillén. Throughout my musical career, I have won several national and international competitions and have extensive stage experience.
My current violin, a 2015 Günter Siefert, was loaned to me after I won the competition organized by the Fondation Musique et Vins au Clos Vougeot earlier this year. This has allowed me to continue progressing, to interpret new pieces of the repertoire, to create with it and, above all, to feel and share the music with the listener.
