Elif Deniz

Elif Deniz is a Turkish soprano currently continuing her studies at the Opera Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul State Conservatory, under the guidance of Tülay Uyar Hatip. She combines her vocal training with a rich background in theater and a strong academic foundation in the social sciences.

Born on July 16, 1998, Elif graduated with an Honor Degree in Sociology from Middle East Technical University (GPA 3.06) in 2021. In parallel with her academic pursuits, she has actively developed her musical talents through piano and classical guitar education.

In 2021, she studied singing with Hülya Kazan for three months before advancing her operatic training at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Her repertoire includes demanding coloratura roles, and in March 2025, she performed the role of the Queen of the Night in W.A. Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall.

Elif has also participated in various competitions: • Semi-finalist at the 1st National Suna Korad Singing Competition (2023) • Semi-finalist at the 15th National Young Soloist Competition (2023)

Her artistic journey is deeply connected to her early experiences in theater. She earned several accolades during her high school years at Karşıyaka Anatolian High School: • Best Actress Award at the 9th International High School Theater Festival (2013) • Best Actress Award at the Cahit Atay Theater Festival (2012-2014), with a collaborative performance combining Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and Lorca’s Gypsy’s Song.

Additionally, Elif enriched her artistic perspective through international experiences such as the Erasmus+ Youthpass Project in Nyíregyháza, Hungary (2022-2023).

Elif speaks English (C1), Italian (A1), and German (A1). Beyond her musical endeavors, she is passionate about theater and yoga.
