Erika Barascu
Erika Barascu was born on June 7, 2013 in Bucharest and began studying piano at the age of 5. In her early years, she studied at the Secondary School of Arts No. 1. Iosif Sava and is currently a student at the Dinu Lipatti National College of Arts. Erika participated, starting at the age of 7, in dozens of musical interpretation competitions organized by high schools and music schools in the country, both local and inter-county, obtaining numerous awards, including first prizes at the "Tinerii Artisti" Competitions, "Scherzo", "Pe Aripile Sunetului", "Iannis Xenakis" in Braila, "Amadeus", "Baroque Music Competition" as well as others such as "Tainele muzicii", "Stefania si Dan Cumpata", the "Citta di Massa" International Competition, "Grand Prize of the National Children's Palace in Bucharest", "Ada Ulubeanu" She also won prizes at the "Lira de aur" Competitions in Suceava, "Irina Satchi" in Ramnicu Valcea, "Margareta Sterian" Buzau as well as second prize at the zonal stage of the National Instrumental Interpretation Olympiad. Erika's repertoire includes romantic pieces by F. Mendelssohn,N. Bortkiewicz, N. Medtner, sonatas by L. van Beethoven, Haydn, M. Clementi, inventions by Johannes Sebastian Bach, studies by F. Liszt and F. Chopin.
