Giedrė Mažeikaitė-Gonzalez

Giedre met piano at the early age of five. At age eleven Giedrė enrolled in M.K.Čiurlionis National School of Arts in Vilnius the most prestigious school in the country for professional musical studies. For her Bachelor's degree of piano interpretation Giedrė was accepted to Catalonia College of Music in Barcelona, Spain under the Vladislav Bronevetzky tuition. Giedrė finished her Master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Music Madrid in Spain, where under the wing of the pianist Mariana Gurkova she specialized in Spanish repertoire for piano. She had received positive comments and great advice from amazing musicians K. Moretti, C. Martinez-Mehner, N. Seriogina, K. Lifschitz, H. Sakagami, E. Tawaststjerna and E. Steen-Nökleberg. Giedrė M. – González was a participant and winner of some national and international piano competitions, such as the International Rome Piano Competition in Italy (2nd prize) as well as the International Alexander Scriabin Piano Competition in Paris, France (3rd prize) to name a few. She performed in concert halls such as National Romantic Museum and CaixaForum in Madrid, L´Auditori of Barcelona, Auditori Pau Casals in El Vendrell, San Giovanni Battista de Genovesi Church of Rome, Kaunas Philharmonic in Lithuania, Morelos Theater and Aguascalientes Theater in Mexico. In the last one she also performed with the Symphony Orchestra of Aguascalientes, under the direction of Lanfranco Marcelletti.
