His debut with The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra at 12 sparked a lifelong passion for music. Studying at The Juilliard School, Yale School of Music, New England Conservatory, and Boston University under luminaries like Miriam Fried and Peter Zazofsky, he refined his craft. Chung has shared stages with Gil Shaham, Sarah Chang, Vadim Gluzman, Ani Kavafian, and Eugene Decker. Currently a first-year Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at Stony Brook University under Jennifer Frautschi and Philip Setzer, he continues to push the boundaries of classical music.

Long Bio Hudson Ye Hyung Chung, born in Jerusalem's Hadassah Hospital in Israel, embarked on his violin journey at the age of 6, culminating in a debut concert with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra at just 12 years old. With an illustrious career marked by major success in national and international music competitions across Israel, South Korea, and the United States, Mr. Chung is celebrated for his sophisticated, compelling interpretations and his soulful, resplendent tone. In 2023, he was honored to grace the stage of Carnegie Weill Recital Hall for Boston University's 150th Anniversary Concert as the featured soloist, receiving a thunderous standing ovation after the performance. A versatile musician, he actively engages in solo recitals, chamber performances, and orchestral collaborations, sharing the spotlight with world-renowned artists including Gil Shaham, the Sejong Soloists, Vadim Gluzman, Eugene Decker, Sarah Chang, Ani Kavafian, and many more. Mr. Chung has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed conductors and composers such as Valery Gergiev, Alan Gilbert, Krzysztof Penderecki, John Adams, and Gabriela Lena Frank. His performances have graced prestigious concert halls including Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, Aviv Concert Hall, Jerusalem Theatre, Jordan Hall, and Symphony Hall. His musical education is as distinguished as his performances, having studied at renowned institutions such as The Juilliard School, Yale School of Music, New England Conservatory of Music, and Boston University under the tutelage of luminaries such as Miriam Fried, Hyo Kang, Paul Biss, and Peter Zazofsky. Currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree, Mr. Chung continues to refine his craft under the guidance and mentorship of Jennifer Frautschi and Philip Setzer. Beyond his performance career and studies, Mr. Chung has a genuine heart for helping people in need, stemming from his humble upbringing as a pastor's kid. He is a Co-Founder of the Skopos Ensemble, which collaborates with Music For Food of Boston to raise funds for Women's Lunch Place, providing food and living spaces for women in dire need of accommodation in the Boston area.
