Iklim Ozenli
İklim Özenli was born in 2005. İklim started her musical education at the age of 5 with piano. Due to her passion and talent in music, she joined Istanbul University State Conservatory exams and started her dual curricular journey of attending primary school and the conservatoire. She started with harp on a part time basis and transferred to full time study adding to her academic pressures. She continued her piano and classical guitar training at the same time. Due to health problems, she stopped playing harp and in July 2016 she made an internal transfer to viola section.The highlight of her primary years as a music scholar was becoming a chorister with the UNICEF Charity Orchestra In October 2018. She joined the auditions of The Purcell school in London and got full scholarship and in September 2019 she started her education there at the age of 14. As part of her school activities, she also performs regularly on piano as well as on other instruments, and has performed in chamber groups since an early age. She performed four times as a soloist in a number of different orchestras in Turkey such as: -Eskisehir Symphonic Orchestra in 2017 -İzmir Symphonic Orchestra in 2019 -Mugla City Hall Orchestra in 2019. -Istanbul Olten Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022. Iklim Ozenli participated in lots of international competitions such as, International Belgrad Competition (first prize), Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition in Salzburg (Grand Prize),THe North Competition in Stockholm (first prize), The Eight International Competition Musical Fireworks in Germany (first prize), Premio Crescendo International Competition in Italy (First Prize), Music and Stars Awards International Competition (first prize), Alkanova Music Competition (first prize),North London Music Festival (third prize). Throughout her viola training, She has attended many international masterclasses with top performers such as Itzhak Rashkovsy, Tatiana Mastudenko and Fazil Say. She was a member of an international maestro named Rengin Gokmen with whom she took to the stage on several occasions in many different places in Turkey. To add to her soloist career preparations, she started taking voice training lessons at school as a 3rd study. She participated in concerts with her school’s orchestra at the most important halls of England such as Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall. She also did a lot of extra curricular activities such as playing to Holocaust survivors. Iklim Ozenli finished her high school education in The Purcell School of Music with full scholarship, she then auditioned for Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire - got accepted everywhere with scholarships. She now continues her education in Royal Academy of Music as BMUs 3rd year.
