Jindra Nečasová Nardelli

Jindra NEČASOVÁ NARDELLI belongs to the most interesting Czech composers of the classical contemporary music. In the wide spectrum of her work we find compositions for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, symphonic orchestras, ballets, film scores (TV film Sirael), vocal compositions and compositions for children. She studied piano and composition at the Prague Conservatoire. Her graduating orchestral composition La Voie Jackson was awarded the best composition of the year. She studied composition at the Faculty of Music Academy of Performing Arts under Professor Václav Riedlbauch and she graduated with the symphonic work Pictures of Salvador Dalí, to which a ballet choreography was additionaly set (National Theatre, Prague). Her studies were finished succesfully by achieving the PhD title at the Charles University. She took part in several composer competitions. She was awarded the Prize of the Czech Music Fund for her composition in the composer competition organized by the Ministery of Culture in the Czech Republic. She win also the Second Prize in the international composer competition Stonavská Barborka (for vocal composition Hafíček´s songs). She also earned respect at home and abroad for her composition Spirit of Lake Michigan for a symphonic wind orchestra, which she was commissioned to compose by Northern Illinois University for the "ALL CZECH COMPOSERS CONCERT" in Boutell Memorial Concert Hall. The work was performed many times again - for example at the international festival Prague Premieres 2009 in Dvořák Hall in the Rudolfinum, again in 2018 as West Coast Premiere in The LaSells Steward Center - Corvallis, Oregon.The major part of Jindra Nečasová Nardelli´s work was published in the USA (Alliance Publications, Inc. Sinsinawa, Wisconsin and National Music Publishers, Glendale, California. In 2023 she received a SPECIAL MENTION from the jury in the international competition WPTA IPC 2023 Composition Category. Her husband is a leading Czech pianist Tomáš Víšek. Nardelli wrote for him some piano pieces - for example Anna Karenina - Concert Fantasy for Piano, String Orchestra and Percussion. In 2024 she received SILVER MEDALS in categories Composition and Band in the competition GLOBAL MUSIC AWARDS 2024 for the composition Spirit of Lake Michigan for symphonic wind orchestra.
