Jingyi Han

Jingyi Han, learned piano at age of 6, and she showed her talent amongst others while attending schools. She had been granted 1st prize for Mozart Variation Competition while studying in Shenyang Conservatory of Music in Dalian, and Chopin Mazurka Competition chosen-winner for honored concert while studying in New England Conservatory of Music. She studied with Prof. Gabriel Chodos in New England Conservatory of music for Bachelor of Music, then she moved to Cleveland for her master degree in Cleveland Institute of Music under Prof. Haesun Paik. Jingyi also finished a master degree in piano pedagogy in Michigan State University under Dr. Derek Polischuk in 2022. Except for taking part in on-campus competitions, Jingyi is active with off-campus performance as well. She was the winner of ‘Hat beam 57 Grotrian-Steiweg Competition’ in 2009, and the first place of King’s Peak International Music Competition. Jingyi provided her solo and chamber performances in 2010 Saarburg Music Festival, Germany; 2015 Aspen Music Festival, United States; as well as Todi Study Aboard in Italy, 2019. She is now pursuing her doctorate degree with Deborah Moriarty in Michigan State University.
