Jiwon Choi

Jiwon Choi, a violinist from South Korea, graduated with highest honors from Seoul National University, where she studied under Kyungsun Lee, Jeongyeon Kim, and Jiweon Moon. She is currently pursuing her master studies at the Yale School of Music under Professor Ani Kavafian. Jiwon has won numerous prizes in national and international competitions, including First Prizes at the New York Artists International Competition, the Nanpa Music Competition, the Sungjeong Music Competition, the Strad Competition, the Haneum Music Competition, and the Korean Classical Music Competition. As a soloist, she has performed with the Seoul National University Symphony Orchestra and has appeared in various performances and chamber settings. Passionate about exploring a wide range of repertoire, Jiwon continues to develop her artistic voice through both performance and collaboration.
