Kate Hyebin Park

Kate Park started her musical education at Sunhwa Arts High School in Seoul, South Korea, where she studied from 2015 to 2017. After high school, Kate enrolled at Yonsei University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 2024. During her time at Yonsei, she had the privilege of studying under talented professors such as Younglan Han and Kangeun Seo, whose guidance has been invaluable in shaping her artistic growth. Additionally, she had the opportunity to study with Donghyek Lim, a concert pianist, which deeply influenced her approach to both technique and expression. Along the way, Kate has participated in master classes and coaching with some truly inspiring musicians. These included Edward Auer, Robert Levin, Orion Weiss, Orli Shaham, Ronald Copes, Darrett Adkins, Hie-Yon Choi, Dongmin Lim, Julius Jeongwon Kim, and Sunghoon Kim, whose insights have helped her refine her playing and broaden her perspective on music. In 2024, Kate had the incredible opportunity to continue her studies at The Juilliard School under the guidance of Hung-Kuan Chen, whose expertise and mentorship are shaping her development as a pianist. The intensity and depth of the program at Juilliard have already expanded her musical horizons in new ways. In terms of competitions, Kate has been fortunate to win several awards at the International Culture and Art Education Association’s National Student Music Competition, Seoul Zuness Competition, International Society for Advanced Music, Hankook Ilbo Music Competition, International Music and Culture Promotion Association, and National New Talent Competition. She also had the honor of reaching the second round of the 3rd Asia-Pacific International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. She gave her first solo recital at Yamaha Hall in 2015 and has since had the privilege of collaborating with orchestras, including a performance at Seongnam Arts Center Concert Hall in 2016. She also took part in a group recital at Mozart Art Hall in 2019. These performances have taught her not only technical precision but also how to communicate emotion and connect with her audience. In addition to performing, she has been involved in various music camps, such as Bowdoin Music Festival, For the Piano Summer Camp, as well as the J&R Music Academy. Outside of performance, Kate co-founded an artist management/marketing company called TOWMOO and worked as the Chief Financial Officer, Artist Manager, and Music Advisor. The company had its own system of marketing, and operated YouTube channel with over 800,000 subscribers. A few years after its founding, the company secured Seed A funding from a venture capital firm at a valuation of approximately USD 3 million. She programmed concerts, met and consulted with renowned artists like violinist Soo-jin Han, Ray Chen, flutist Jasmine Nakyung Choi, pianist Dong-hyek Lim, Dmitry Shishkin, Hayato Sumino and so on. Through this role, she was able to combine her love for music with skills in management and strategy.
