Kite Wang

Kite began learning piano at the age of 4 and quickly developed a love for music. At the age of 8, she passed the Piano Grade 8 of AMEB. She currently studies with Dr. Natalia Andreeva and enjoys learning more piano techniques and enhancing musical understanding.

Over the years, she has participated in various piano competitions, including Sydney Eisteddfod and St George Eisteddfod, showing dedication and enthusiasm in her musical journey. She has won various awards and prizes in those competitions, notably the Paili Pan Award from St George Eisteddfod in 2024 for winning the most prizes in that year.

This July, she just won the second place of the 2025 Australian National Piano Competition for Children (Little-Lev) in her age group. She also received the 3rd prize in the 2025 Melbourne International Piano and Strings Festival Competition, age group 13 years and under.

Kite is currently learning to play double bass, which she has achieved Double Bass Grade 5 of AMEB. She also attends various string groups and bands, such as Sydney Youth Orchestra, as either the double bass player or the piano accompaniment.

Outside of musical instruments, Kite enjoys reading, drawing, swimming and spending time with family and friends. She is excited to perform in this year’s Australian National Piano Competition For Children and is grateful for the opportunity to share her music with others.
