Leonardo Coral
Mexico
Mexican composer Leonardo Coral studied composition with Federico Ibarra and Maria Granillo at the National University’s Faculty of Music (UNAM), graduating with honors. He earned his master’s degree at UNAM with the symphonic work Ciclo de Vida y Muerte and is a professor at his alma mater.
His catalogue comprises more than 150 works, encompassing solo, chamber and orchestral music, including concertos and works for voices and orchestra. His music has been performed across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania and appears on more than 40 CDs. He has also been a member of the FONCA National System of Artistic Creators.
