Luis Antonio Chiriboga Tamayo

Ecuador

Multinstrumentalist musician and composer. He completed his musical studies at the Froma Conservatory and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Instruction from the University of Cuenca, a Master’s Degree in Musical Composition from the Universitat Internacional Valenciana, and a Master’s Degree in Composition for Audiovisual and Performing Arts from Conservatori Liceu.

He received a Gold Record at the 42nd California Latin American Song Festival, the Gold Prize and Artistic Vision Award at the Beethovinci International Composition Competition, and First Place in the Vivaldi International Composition Competition. He was also selected to represent Ecuador in “Escordaturas: Latin American Music for Strings.”

He worked as a composer for the Higher School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalonia and the Conservatori Liceu Symphony Orchestra. His catalog includes film music, neoclassical, jazz, and Ecuadorian music. His works and arrangements have been performed by orchestras and ensembles in Ecuador, Spain, the United States, and Germany.

He currently serves as a professor at the “José María Rodríguez” Conservatory.
