Luise Bold

Luise Bold is a young pianist and currently studies under Prof. Sontraud Speidel at the Karlsruhe University of Music. Despite her young age, she has already gained recognition on both national and international stages, receiving numerous prestigious awards and distinctions. Among her most notable achievements is winning first prize in both the Baroque and Romantic categories at the "CLAVIS Competition". She triumphed at the "Freu(n)de am Klavier" piano competition, where she was awarded first prize, the Peter Anders Special Prize for her original composition, and the Adler Büttner Foundation Special Prize in recognition of her outstanding pianistic artistry. Luise has also secured first prizes at several prominent youth competitions, including the "Tonkünstlerverband Baden-Württemberg Competition", the "Johann Sebastian Bach Competition for Young Pianists" in Köthen, and the "Clara Schumann Piano Competition" held in Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe. At the latter, she additionally received the Clara Schumann Special Prize and the Peter Anders Memorial Prize. Her international accomplishments are equally impressive. Luise was awarded first prizes at the "Euplayy Online Competition for the Youth of Europe", the "Làszlò Spezzaferri International Music Competition" (Italy), the "Odin International Music Online Competition" (Estonia), the "AD LIBITUM Piano Competition", and the "Andreas Kunle Competition", where she received the highest level. Further top honors followed at the "Danubia Talents International Music Competition" (Hungary) and the "Grotrian Steinweg Piano Competition" (Braunschweig). Most recently, she was awarded the First Prize A-Plus at the "International Karl Adler Youth Music Competition" in Stuttgart. In addition to numerous first prizes, Luise has also received second prize at the "International Prof. Dichler Competition" in Vienna—open to participants aged 8 to 30—and third prizes at the "Kleine Schumann Competition" in Zwickau and the "Carl Bechstein Piano Competition" in Berlin. She has been recognized with further sponsorship prizes from the "Henle Piano Competition" and the "Piano Podium Karlsruhe e.V." in the violin/piano duo category. As a finalist in the "MUSIC INTERNATIONAL GRAND PRIX" in New York, Luise earned attention from the global music community. In recognition of her extraordinary musical achievements, she has also been honored with the Gerold Joachim Sponsorship Prize and the Hugo Neff Memorial Prize, awarded by the Hohenwettersbach Music Forum. Beyond her accomplishments as a pianist, Luise is also an avid visual artist. She enjoys painting as a way to express her inner visions and personal interpretations of the music she performs. Her creative instincts extend to vocal music as well—she is a dedicated member of the Speyer Cathedral Choir (Speyer Domchor), where she regularly participates in choral performances, deepening her musicality through ensemble singing. Newly she has won the prize of the best Liszt interpretation in Excellence category(Music University level) at „26ème Concours International de Piano d‘ Ile de France 2025“.
