Magdalena Węgielnik

Magdalena Węgielnik - soprano<br>Born on 18.07.2003 in Wroclaw, Magdalena discovered her passion for music while learning<br>to play the bandura and performing at numerous concerts (Przemyśl, Rzeszów, Elbląg,<br>Koszalin) with the ensemble Wesołe Bandurki and as a soloist in the Folk Instrument<br>Ensemble.<br>She received her musical education at the Artur Malawski Secondary State Music School in<br>Przemyśl in the solo singing class of Professor Olga Popowicz, which she completed with<br>honours in 2021.<br>She is currently studying solo singing in the third year of undergraduate studies in the class<br>of Prof.dr hab. Olga Popowicz at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków.<br>She is a laureate of numerous singing competitions, including 1st place and a special prize<br>for her interpretation of the song Горить моє серце at the 21st International Pro Bohemia<br>Competition in Ostrava, 1st place at the 4th International Vocal Competition ,,Bursztynowi<br>Solospiwy'' in Rivne, Ukraine, 2nd place at the 9th National Zdzisław Skwara Vocal<br>Competition in Mława, 1st degree distinction at the 7th National Zygmunt Noskowski Vocal<br>Competition for Children and Youth in Bochnia.<br>She has given concerts on various stages and concerts in Poland (e.g. Institute of Music in<br>Rzeszów, XXXIX Przemyska Jesień Muzyczna) and abroad (e.g. in Slovakia and Ukraine).<br>In September 2023, she was a participant in the scientific session of the Polish National<br>Youth Choir, together with which she performed Krzysztof Penderecki's Cosmogony on the<br>stage of the National Music Forum in Wrocław.
