Martyna Kubik

Martyna Kubik was born in 1999. in Cracow. She began learning to play the piano at the age of 6 at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Music School in Krakow in the class of prof. Aleksandra Dobrowolska-Schut. In 2017. she graduated with distinction from the Fryderyk Chopin State Secondary Music School in Krakow in the class of prof. Olga Łazarska. In 2022. she graduated with distinction from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the piano class of prof. Zbigniew Raubo. Currently she is a postgraduate student in the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the piano class of prof. Zbigniew Raubo. She is a laureate and a finalist of many piano competitions, including: the Stanisław Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music, the Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk, the F. Chopin Polish Piano Competition in Warsaw, the National Piano Festival “Chopin's Interpretations of the Young” in Żychlin, the National Piano Competition in Konin, the West Pomeranian Piano Competition in Szczecin, the H. Czerny-Stefańska National Piano Tournament in Żagań, H. Czerny-Stefańska and L. Stefański Piano Competition in Płock, the B. Bartok International Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Warsaw. In 2015, as a laureate of the Special Award for the Greatest Individuality of the 20th National Piano Tournament in Żagań, she was invited to the USA to her debut in New York. In 2017. she qualified for the Morningside Music Bridge master class in Boston, organized by the MMB Foundation in cooperation with the Calgary Philharmonic Society and the New England Conservatory. In 2021 during the Stanisław Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music she received three non-statutory prizes: the prize of Societe Frederic Chopin Geneve – an invitation to a recital during the Chopin Festival in Geneva, a Special Prize sponsored by maestra Lidia Grychtołówna and a Music Critics Prize. In November 2022. she was nominated as a deputy director of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Music Society in Sosnowiec. She has performed in many venues including: USA (New York and Boston), Switzerland (Geneva), Germany, National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Cracow Philharmonic, NOSPR in Katowice, Silesian Philharmonic, Gorzów Philharmonic, Fryderyk Chopin Museums in Warsaw and Żelazowa Wola, Fryderyk Chopin European Artistic Center in Sanniki and played with the Silesian and Gorzów Philharmonic Orchestras. She was a scholarship holder of the: Minister of Culture scholarship programme – “Młoda Polska”, National Children's Fund, The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Prime Minister and the Małopolska "Sapere Auso" Foundation.
