Maryam Musa Fannh De la O

Profile Maryam Musa Fannh De la O was born in Mexico City and is 13 years old. She studies in the second year of middle school and holds B1 Cambridge and A2 French IFAL certifications. She started studying piano at the age of 5 until she entered the Escuela Superior de Música which is part of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL) from the Mexican Government at the age of 8, and she is currently in her first high school year.

She has won several internal piano competitions, achieving 2nd place in category 1, 3rd place in category 2, and 1st place in category 3 respectively (2026). La Escuela Superior de Música from INBAL awarded her, for two consecutive years, the academic excellence scholarship (which no longer exists) in recognition of her commitment and outstanding performance.

Her training as a pianist includes master classes with pianists such as Prof. Leticia Gómez Tagle (technique teacher), Silvia Navarrete, Rachid Bernal Castillo, Esteban León Hernández, Héctor Rojas, Haiou Zhang, and Oleg Khudyakov.

In 2023, she was selected for the Ricardo Castro Chair of Piano Advancement at the National Conservatory of Music at the age of 10.

In 2026, she was selected as an active participant in the 2nd Pian Up Piano Festival in Morelia, Michoacán.

About the international competitions, she has achieved notable placements: In Spain, 2nd place at the Franz Liszt Center International Piano Competition (2026). In Texas, 2nd place in category 2 at the 3rd Ponce Project International Piano Competition online (2025). In Texas, 2nd place in category 3 at the 4th Ponce Project International Piano Competition online (2026). In North Macedonia 2nd place at the Golden Piano Talents. (2025). At Malta International Piano Competition (2025) and (2026) she got a first place. At the XIV Odin International Music Online Competition in Europe (2025) she get a second place. At the Orbetello International Piano Competition (2025) in Italy. She also got a second place. At the Swiss Music Competition in Lugano, Switzerland (2026). Got a 2nd place and a scholarship.

In 2025, she was invited to perform in Houston, Texas, by the Ponce Project Music Foundation.

She was selected in the Swiss Music Competition as one of the 25 international contestants in Switzerland to receive a scholarship and study piano at the Tiziano Rossetti International Music Academy in Lugano, Switzerland. She currently takes online classes with his teachers Alberto Dalgo and Vovka Ashkenazy.

She has performed in over 25 cultural places in Mexico City with other musicians, such as Palacio Postal, Instituto Mora, Biblioteca Vasconcelos, Librería Rosario Castellanos of the Fondo de Cultura Económica, Cultural Centre Juan Rulfo, Cultural Centre Reyes Heroles, International Mining Book Fair, International Children’s and Youth Book Fair, National Museum of World Cultures, National Museum of San Carlos, Blas Galindo Hall of CENART, Casa de la Bola Museum, Bookstore Volcana, Gandhi Bookstores, Biblioteca de México, Women's Museum, Tamaulipa’s house official representation in Mexico City, Tabasco’s house official representation in Mexico City, etc.

In August 2025, she was awarded the Youth Prize 2025 by the Mexican Government representing Mexico city. She got it due to her achievements in the artistic and cultural field, being the youngest person to receive it.

She has participated in radio programs discussing about music, science, and culture for children and teenagers, as well as performing piano in programs such as Prisma RU, Radio Educación Yolotl, IMER on the Opus 94, Basta de Música, and La Pandilla stations, and on Radio Educación in its program No Hagan Ruido Música, which was recorded from the recital she gave at Casa Tabasco in Mexico City.

On April 30, 2026, she became the first girl to be named a Casio Artist and to be sponsored by the brand.
