Matteo Franz Arrighini

Born on 14 June 2006, Matteo Franz Arrighini is currently enrolled in a three-year piano degree course at the ‘L. Boccherini’ Conservatory in Lucca with Professor Riccardo Peruzzi and a composition course at the ‘Sinfonia’ Music School in Lucca with Professor Pietro Rigacci. He has won numerous piano competitions, including the 9th edition of the Clara Wieck Schumann International Competition and the 29th edition of the Riviera della Versilia International Competition, and most recently, second prize at the 8th edition of the Carlo Sanvitale International Composition Competition with the original piece “Danza degli Scheletri” (Dance of the Skeletons), which was subsequently performed on tour by pianist Giacomo di Tollo at the Casa Barezzi Museum in Busseto (Parma) and at the Terrazza Eischen in Luxembourg. He is also active as a composer of soundtracks for short films such as “Emicrania” (2024), winner at the Foggia Film Festival 2024 (High School Awards), ‘Inferno Dentro’ (2025) and ‘Il Pungolo della Carne’, still in competition at the David di Donatello 2026, and has numerous musical publications published by the New Fruit company of composer and arranger Emilio Tieri. Since November 2025, he has been a member of the CCTS (Technical Scientific Cultural Committee) of the ‘Michel De Montaigne’ Cultural Foundation and, since January 2026, he has been a member of SIMC (Italian Society of Contemporary Music) and the Laboratorio Brunier Artistic Cultural Association.
