Mikołaj Pociecha

I started learning to play the guitar 2008 at the age of 14 in the class of Mr. Przemysław Dybizbański. Then I studied in Paderewski Music University in Poznań and at Hoschule für Musik Trossingen where I graduated my Master Degree in class of Michal Stanikowski. I am also a guitar teacher at Music School in Trossingen. COMPETITIVE ACHIEVEMENTS I started competing after 3.5 years of learning, and I have already managed to achieve: • The GRAND PRIX award at the XVII Słupecki Music Meetings in 2011. • 1st place in the XXVI Guitar Competition in Poznań in 2012. • 1st place in Contemporary Music Competition in Płock in 2014 • 3rd place at the XV International Guitar Music Festival in Trzęsacz in 2012. • 3rd place at the Gitarophilia Guitar Festival in Trossingen in 2015 • 2nd place and a special award for the best performance of a piece by Marek Pasieczny at the XVI International Guitar Music Festival in Trzęsacz in 2013. • An honorable mention at the Nationwide Review of Students of Music Schools II st. in Warsaw in 2012, organized by the Center for Artistic Education. • An honorable mention at the IX International Łukasz Pietrzak Competition "Gitaromania" in Jelenia Góra in 2013. SCHOLARSHIPS • Scholar of the Center for Artistic Education • Scholar of the National Fund for Children • Scholar of the Starosta Szamotulski ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES • I was part of Open Source Guitars and we collaborated with IRCAM Paris and GMEM Marsseille • Performed at concerts in Poland, Germany, France, Italy • Concert of KFNRD scholars at the Mazovian Center for Culture and Art in Warsaw • I have performed as a guest at the 11th Wielkopolski Music Tournament in Kole under the patronage of the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship • Recital at the nationwide conference "Music in public space" at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań
