Mira Maturicz

My name is Mira Maturicz, and I have been studying the oboe for three years – I have dedicated my life to it ever since. As a student at the Szombathely Art Secondary School, I do everything in my power to get the most out of myself.

I started at the art school as a flutist, but I wanted to play a different instrument.When I was already considering switching, something told me: oboe. At first, I didn't know the instrument, and I didn't even like its sound, but since then, it has become my "why." I have attended lessons with oboist József Kiss on several occasions, and whenever I can, I participate in nearby masterclasses.

I haven't had the chance to compete yet, but this year will be all about competitions. National oboe competition, wind instrument competition – and every time, my goal is to show as much of myself as possible and get closer to a serious career as an oboist.

My goal is to continue my studies at a music university and use my knowledge as an oboist. Participating in this competition is not only a professional milestone for me, but also an opportunity to receive feedback and further improve my playing.
