Misa Viveiros
Misa Viveiros is a currently a first-year trumpet major at Vanderbilt University. She is pursuing the interdisciplinary Bachelor of Musical Arts Degree and is double majoring in applied mathematics and minoring in computer science. She is a member of the Vanderbilt University Orchestra, which recently performed Benjamin Britten's War Requiem this past spring. She has also held a principal position in the Vanderbilt Wind Symphony, which performed at the 2023 College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Conference in Athens, Georgia. In the Undergraduate Solo Division, Misa was a semifinalist in the 2023 National Trumpet Competition held in Boulder, Colorado. This past year at Vanderbilt, she has played in masterclasses for Edgar Meyer and Jens Lindemann. This summer, she will be attending the Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Prior to attending Vanderbilt University, Misa has been accepted into and has held principal positions in various Florida All-State Ensembles from 2018 - 2021 and was selected to perform in the NAfME All-National Concert Band in 2022. She received Superiors with Distinction for trumpet solos at State Solo & Ensemble from 2019 - 2021 and has participated in summer camps and music festivals at Florida State University, the University of South Florida, and Stetson University.
