Nina Kreča

Nina Kreča, the young Slovenian soprano, completed her Bachelor's degree in Music Education at the University of Maribor. She is simultaneously pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Voice, under the guidance of Professor Elena Pankratova at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria and her Master's degree in Music Education in Maribor, Slovenia. In June 2019 Nina had her first experience with the music of Verdi as INES in “Trovatore”, in December 2020 she sang the role of PIACERE in Händel's “Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno” and in June 2022 she convinced the public in her first major opera role as MRS. HERRING in fully staged production of Britten's opera “Albert Herring” with Hilary Griffiths at the Haus for Music und Music Theater in Graz. In June 2023 the versatile soprano sang the role of SORELLA CERCATRICE in Puccini's “Suor Angelica” under the baton of Gerrit Prießnitz ibidem and had her first experience with the music of Richard Strauss as AUFSEHERIN in “Elektra” - as part of a class concert. In February 2024 she is going to debut the role of the 1st LADY in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” and in March 2024 she makes her debut at the Stefaniensaal in Graz with five orchestral songs of R. Strauss under the baton of Wolfgang Wengenroth. In February 2024 Nina made her debut as the 1. LADY in “Die Zauberflöte” at Haus für Musik in Graz. Besides that she is working on the roles of CONTESSA in “Le nozze di Figaro”, DONNA ELVIRA in “Don Giovanni”, both DORABELLA and FIORDILIGI in “Così fan tutte”, as well as AGATHE in Weber's “Der Freischütz”. in Summer 2024 she is making her Debut as Fricka in concert at Kasematten stage at Grazer Schlossberg.
