Paolo Bonomi
Paolo Bonomi Born in Brescia, he began his musical studies at the age of five at the "ALL'UNISONO" association in Lumezzane. At nine, he began studying piano with Maestro Marco Paderni at the same musical association, where he won a scholarship in 2005. At thirteen, he began studying organ with Marco Ruggeri at the "Dante Caifa" diocesan school in Cremona. He studied Organ and Organ Composition with Pietro Pasquini at "Luca Marenzio" Conservatory of Brescia, where in 2018 he earned the Bachelor's Degree with top marks. He has attended masterclasses with L. Rogg, M. Radulescu, H.F. Beaupérin, B.-F. Marle Ouvrard, J. van Oortmerssen, B. van Oosten, H. Deutsch, and C. Mantoux. His musical studies also focus on improvisation, with Stefano Rattini attending the organ improvisation course at the "Istituto Diocesano di Musica Sacra" in Trento, and several masterclasses held by Thierry Escaich in Haarlem Organ Festival, Festival Bach de St. Donat and Accademia Musicale Chigiana. He has performed in several solo and chamber concerts within various festivals, including "Cathédrale Harmonique" on the great organ of Aosta Cathedral, "Amati Organ Gala" and "Abendmusiken" on organs in the historic center of Brescia, "Pedaliter" in the Bergamo area. He studied Composition with Tessadrelli at the "A. Boito" Conservatory in Parma and in 2025 earned the Master's degree with top marks. At the 2021 edition of the Città di Albenga International Piano Competition, he received an honorable mention for his composition "Liebeserklärung." In 2022, he composed the "Marcia di Arzachena" for the centenary commemoration of the independence of the city of the same name. In 2024, he collaborated with his fellow composers on the project "The Timeless Enchantment of Nursery Rhymes. Educational Song in the Ethical Teaching of Rosa Agazzi." In 2025, the composition “Il quieto volo sul Mediterraneo” was selected for performance by the Emilia Romagna Arturo Toscanini Orchestra. His works have received awards in various competitions: Città di Albenga International Piano Competition (honorable mention), 4Seasons Vienna (3rd prize), the Vienna New Year’s Concert Competition (honorable mention), and the “A. F. Lavagnino” International Festival of Music and Cinema (4th prize). His concert and compositional activities are complemented by his teaching at the "All'Unisono" music school and the "Noi Percorsi Musicali" music school in Marcheno.
