Rhea Prakash

Rhea Prakash is a San Francisco-based pianist and singer known for thoughtful performances and a deep commitment to classical repertoire and musical theatre. Currently an incoming freshman (fall 2026), Rhea has spent the last 11 years developing a sound that balances technical precision with a unique, modern edge. Rhea’s musical journey began at age 2, when she first picked up the piano and voice. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. Under the tutelage of a world-renowned composer and musician, she has explored everything from the intricate works of Mozart, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Massenet, Chopin, and Debussy to the improvisational freedom of Liszt. A highlight of her career, apart from winning serval competitions world wide, was performing solo in Vienna and Carnegie Hall, where the audience noted her exceptional phrasing and stage presence.

Beyond the concert hall, Rhea is passionate about exploring world music and the inherent connection of music to neuroscience. She believes that music is a universal language capable of bridging gaps between communities, a philosophy she is learning to bring to every performance under her teacher's tutelage. When not practicing or performing, Rhea can be found working on AI projects, developing products, supporting conservation efforts, playing volleyball, or skiing. Looking ahead, Rhea plans to pursue Music Education and Performance at advanced levels, to tour internationally, and to find neurological cures through music.
