Ryley Jun is a 14-year-old eighth grader at Skyridge Middle School who began playing the cello at the age of 11. He was drawn to the instrument's vibrant tones and currently studies under the esteemed cellist Hyun-Jin Kim. After just seven months of instruction, Ryley joined the Portland Youth Philharmonic organization. Ryley is currently a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra within the Portland Youth Philharmonic Association. Ryley has been selected as an honorable mention at the 2025 Oregon MTNA. He was also a finalist for the Oregon Mozart Players Young Soloist Competition in 2025.
