Shangen Zou

Born in China in 2011. since the age of 4, Shangen made progress through years of practice and eventually began to enter piano competitions, having success on many occasions. These positive experiences helped her to evolve, integrating colors and dimension into her music making. Her innate joy of music is uncommon, and her growing confidence and interest in developing her skills is thriving. First place in the HMTA Concerto Competition Junior Division in 2023. I will perform Mendelssohn's Concerto in G minor, 3rd movement with the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra on Dec 3, 2023. First place in Piano Solo G-8 at the 11th Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia International Youth Piano Competition in 2022. First place in the 10th Macao International Piano Invitational Competition in 2021. First place in the XIV Sonata International Youth Piano Competition in 2020, and they gave me $150!
