Sylvie Langehegermann

Luxemburg

Luxembourg soprano Sylvie Langehegermann began her musical training at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, first with piano lessons, then shortly afterwards she began studying singing in Louis Landuyt's class. After completing her baccalaureate, she studied German, Spanish and French literature and published a thesis entitled ‘Friedrich Schiller und die Epoche des italienischen Belcanto’ (Friedrich Schiller and the Italian Bel Canto Era). In singing, she first obtained the First Prize, then joined Monique Simon's singing class, where she completed her studies with the Concert Diploma. Sylvie Langehegermann regularly participates in masterclasses, for example in Luxembourg with Won Cho and Malcolm Walker and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Kurt Widmer, and is currently working with dramatic soprano Vera Wenkert in Zurich. She also sings in several concert projects, for example with organist Rosch Mirkes and the baroque ensemble Ad Libitum.
