Tien-chia Yeh

I am currently pursuing the Artist Diploma at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, where I have also obtained the Diplôme Supérieur d’Exécution and the chamber music diploma. I previously completed my Master’s degree at the National Taipei University of Education, studying under Kao Tzu, Huang Ching-Ting, Professor Liu Chao-Che, and Huang Chen-Ying. I am currently studying with Vicens Prats, principal flute of the Orchestre de Paris.

I have had the privilege of receiving guidance from renowned flutists including Jean Louis Beaumadier, Jim Walker, Paul Edmund-Davies, and Philippe Bernold. Alongside my performance career, I have also been actively involved in teaching, guiding students to participate in competitions such as the Culture Cup and Excellence Cup, as well as preparing them for music examinations.

Throughout my musical journey, I have received numerous awards in national and international competitions. Highlights include First Prize in the New Taipei City Student Music Competition (High School Division), Third Prize in the Taipei City Student Music Competition (College Division), and First Prize in the National Taipei University of Education Concerto Competition, which led to a solo performance of Carmen Fantasy with the university orchestra. I have also received top honors in the National Student Music Competition and chamber music competitions.

Internationally, I have been awarded First Prize and the title of “Grande Performer” at the European International Music Competition, First Prize with Special Mention at the BACH International Music Competition, Diamond Prize at the Erik Satie International Music Competition, Absolute First Prize at the UK International Music Competition, and Absolute First Prize at the Mozart International Music Competition. I am also a Platinum Winner of the Fenix Award International Music Competition and received the Absolute First Prize with Special Prize for Excellent Technique at the Golden Prestige International Music Competition.

As a performer, I have appeared in various concerts and collaborations, including a flute recital at the National Recital Hall in Taipei, participation in the 25th anniversary concert of the Taipei Flute Ensemble, and performances as a piccolo player with orchestras. In 2026, I will present a solo recital in the concert de midi et demi series at Salle Cortot in Paris.
