Vincent Yu-Tai Ou Yang

Vincent Yu-Tai Ouyang is a composer, pianist, and harpsichordist. His musical compositions often explore observations of life and reflect on emotional experiences, aiming to convey emotions through his music. Currently pursuing his Master of Music degree in composition at the University of Calgary, he studies with Dr. Laurie Radford and is completing his thesis under the supervision of Prof. Allan Gordon Bell. Vincent is currently exploring orchestral and large ensemble writing, with a particular focus on integrating East Asian aesthetics into contemporary Western idioms.
