Weronika Kisielnicka-Babij
Weronika Kisielnicka-Babij was born on March 19, 1995 in Dąbrowa Górnicza. <br>She started her musical education in Ogólnokształcąca Szkoła Muzyczna I st. Im. Michała Spisaka in Dąbrowa Górnicza in 2002 in the violin class of Martyna Jaremus. Her adventure with orchestra and chamber ensemble began in the 3rd grade of elementary school. She was also active in the choir. She graduated from school with honors in2008. <br>The next step in her education was the Karol Szymanowski State Secondary Music School in Katowice, where she studied in the violin class of Marta Diug- Chwastek. During her education she had the pleasure of leading the school's Karol Szymanowski Youth Symphony Orchestra. She graduated from the school with honors in 2014. <br>In September 2019, she graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice with a master's degree in the class of Dr. Krzysztof Lasoń. <br>During her studies she had the pleasure of working with such orchestras as : Silesian Philharmonic, FOK Praque Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of New Music, Silesian Chamber Orchestra, Gorzow Philharmonic, Polish Art Philharmonic, Opole Philharmonic, Beethoven Academy Orchestra or Young Polish Philharmonic. <br>She has participated in many orchestral projects, such as: " Hesistant- Direct Lutoslawski in the 100th anniversary of his birth" in 2013, "Andrzej Panufnik- known and unknown" in 2014 and "Polish Jazz Symphony Orchestra" in 2016. <br>She is a scholarship recipient of the "Animato Foundation Orchestra" program and the "Davos Festival Academy" program. In December 2020, she was awarded the second prize of the orchestral competition of Samnium University of Music of Benevento, this orchestra toured in July2021. She has participated as a member of the Grafenegg Academy in Austria in July 2023 and ILYO Orchestra Academy in Szczecin in September 2023. <br>She has performed on Polish and foreign stages, such as the Wiener Konzerthous, Usher Hall in Edinburgh, Cadogan Hall in London, Slovak Philharmonic in Bratislava, Tonhalle in Zurich, F. LisztAcademy of Music in Budapest, NFM in Wroclaw, NOSPR in Katowice, Beethoven Saal in Stuttgart and Kulturpalast in Dresden. <br>She has had the pleasure of performing under the baton of such eminent personalities as : Pietari Inkinen, Szymon Bywalec, Miroslaw Jacek Blaszczyk, Michal Klauza, Wojciech Michniewski, <br>Massimiliano Caldi, Paul McCreesh, Adam Klocek, Kevin Griffiths or Roberto González. <br>She has participated in many competitions. Among the most recent are: String Competition Online, Warsaw 2022 at which she took 2nd place, International Music Competition, France 2022 - 3rd place, International Music Competition "Nouvelles etoiles" 2021 at which she was awarded 3rd prize, 3rd International Naleczow and Violin Competition (semi-finalist), Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition in Katowice. <br>She participated in workshops conducted by outstanding violinists such as Roland Baldini, Bartłomiej Nizioł, Alena Baeva, Bartosz Cajler, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Magdalena Rezler or AndrzejGrabiec, Krzysztof Polonek, Alina Ibragimova, Andrej Power, Adrian Varela.
