Wojciech Terech – student of Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the symphonic and operatic conducting class of dr Szymon Stec and piano class of dr hab. Agata Nowakowska–Gumiela. Graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Music School of the 2nd Grade in Olsztyn in piano class of Marcin Kucharzewski and from the Music School of the 1st Grade in Dywity, branch in Biskupiec. Performs as a conductor, composer and pianist. As a conductor and composer debuted in age of sixteen conducting his composition called ‘Mystery’ for concert band in the Feliks Nowowiejski Warmia and Masuria Philharmonic in Olsztyn in 2022. One year later he led the premiere of a symphonic piece ‘Decadence’ composed by himself. In October 2023 he conducted a musical ‘Commandos of life’ to which he composed an orchestral music, then collected and prepared musicians. In 2024 he took part in project ‘EduVirtuoso VI – conducting talent show’ in Mieczyslaw Karlowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin. In the competition that took place with the project he received the winner’s title and the Orchestra Award. In July 2025 his composition ‘Song of the Night’ for symphony orchestra was premiered at the Summa Cum Laude Youth Music Festival in the Golden Hall of Musikverein in Vienna and played again in Wiener Konzerthaus. In 2025 Wojciech Terech was also chosen as a participant of Järvi Academy Conducting Masterclass in Estonia. There he worked with various professional orchestras and took masterclasses with Paavo Järvi and Leonid Grin. This year Wojciech Terech was taking part as an active participant in Polish Conductors’ Forum in Bydgoszcz. That gave him an opportunity to take masterclasses with Raoul Grüneis, Ulrich Windfuhr, George Tchitchinadze, Marek Pijarowski and Martin Sieghart. In the ending of the project he received the title of The Forum’s Best Conductor. Wojciech Terech also gives lectures to the public and writes arrangements. According to his artistic work he has received ‘The Golden Success’ from Biskupiec City Major and various scholarships form Lions Club Olsztyn, Rotary Club Olsztyn, Artistic Education Centre, Biskupiec City Major, Warmia and Masuria Voivodeship Marshal and Fundusz Ziemi Olsztyńskiej Foundation. Ms. and Mr. Lella are his patrons.

„Song of the night” – a symphonic piece based on a Polish poem „Świtezianka”. One night, by a mysterious lake Świteź a young man swears to love his beloved girl forever. She warns him to keep the oath and disappears into the forest. He stays alone. Suddenly supernatural powers show up and the man sees a beautiful maiden on the surface of the lake. She is beautiful and he forgets about the oath. He joins her with passion and devotion. Then the truth comes to light: that’s the girl that disappeared. She tested him and now gives the punishment – one thousand years of suffering.
