Yaprak Özgüç
Yaprak Özgüç was born on March 27, 2006, in Bursa, Türkiye. She began her piano studies at the age of 9 under the guidance of Özgür Ünaldı at the Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory. At 13, she achieved second place in the Yamaha Piano Competition. At 16, she achieved third place in the IV. International Adana Rhapsody Piano Competition. at 18, she received a special jury award at the ADS International "Gülsin Onay" Piano Competition. She has worked with notable musicians such as İris Şentürker, Gülsin Onay, Başar Can Kıvrak, Hülya Keser, Emre Elivar and Cem Babacan. At the age of 16, she gave a recital at the Kazım Karabekir Cultural Center in Istanbul. When she was 17, she performed as a soloist with the Nilüfer Chamber Orchestra at the 'Young Talents Following the Century' concert. In 2025, she gave a concert directed by the Liszt Institute placed at Hungarian Cultural Center in Istanbul as part of the May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. That same year, she was accepted into the Académie Internationale d’Été de Nice Summer Academy in France, where she had the opportunity to work with renowned pianists such as Tuija Hakkila and Johann Schmidt. Yaprak Özgüç continues her education at the Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory, studying with Çağdaş Özkan.
